Everyone has just one thing on their mind: to give you the special treatment you deserve and to look after you so you remember your staycation for years to come as an unforgettable experience.
The Ritz-Carlton, Doha has a number of different rooms and suites that offer unique experiences depending on what you want and what your budget is. Their Executive Suite is perfect for a small family and is complete with a simple, modern décor that's made up of Tuscan marble, French Oak, etc. There are two terraces and a beautiful sea view. The bedroom is separated from the living room space by a huge double door. There is a lovely dressing room area and an Italian marble bathroom with a rain shower feature and a bathtub. The fully automated Laufer toilet is something new and quite unique.
There are centralised room controls for airconditioning, lighting and curtains along with automatic light sensors and energy-efficient LED lighting. There are two 55 inch TVs for entertainment with a number of different channels. The living room has a little refreshment and snack counter with a Nespresso machine so you can have your own tea and coffee when needed.
The Ritz-Carlton, Doha never forgets about its little guests and ensures they are provided with their own comfort, space and things to do to keep them busy and relaxed. That's why they have a little kids corner in the room where they set up a little tent and decorate the area with different coloured balloons. They know just what the kids want and in the tent, they will find a storybook and an activity pack with some really fun things to do.
The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is home to some of the best restaurants in town, so whether you're in the mood for something fancy like French cuisine, just want some light bites, looking for some good old steak, or just want to order room service, there's something for everyone.
We tried the Signature High Tea at the Lobby Lounge after check-in and loved the way the Chef had put everything together and chosen the perfect savouries and sweet treats. Oh, and the scones are the highlight of the whole setup. They're made from the Chef's grandmother's age-old recipe and served with cream, strawberry preserve and lemon curd; they are an absolute delight. There are many beverages on the menu as well depending on whether you want something hot or cold.
For dinner, Sel and Miel was a great choice. It's an award-winning restaurant and we could tell why. The French cuisine this modern brasserie offers is absolutely delicious. The recipes have been passed down from generation to generation and put together with the passion the French are famous for. The a la carte menu is full of dishes that are cooked to perfection. A new menu was recently introduced and you must check it out.
There is just a special breakfast spot in the hotel and it's the Lagoon restaurant. Currently, it only offers breakfast (sometimes it also offers buffet meals - lunch or dinner), but what a breakfast it is! Served buffet style you'll find all your favourites here and more served with a dollop of great customer service.
In-room dining is another option if you're feeling hungry at an odd hour. And the bonus is that their service is available 24-hours.
One of the best things about The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is the number of great activities you and your family can enjoy, especially when the weather's hot. The outdoor pool area is huge and has different sections. Next to it is a little kids pool which is perfect for the little ones and comes complete with a little slide. You can play table tennis by the poolside or enjoy a light meal and beverages at the Flamingos poolside dining place post-swim.
There's a huge indoor pool, too, so you can pick and choose whether you want to use the pool that's inside or outside. If that isn't enough, they also have a beach that you can hang out at and feel the sea on your toes. You can relax there and let the kids play in the sand or swim.
In addition, there is the award-winning spa where you can get a number of different spa treatments done. There's a separate one for men and women, but there's also a cosy couples spa treatment area. Each signature spa or Hammam treatment ensures complete relaxation by blending Arabic principles, Asian traditions and European concepts that you'll thoroughly enjoy and come away refreshed and happy.
The hotel also has a new world-class gym facility (mixed and women's only), and includes two indoor tennis courts and a squash court so you can stay fit, healthy and active.
