Qatar Airways & IndiGo to offer 340 flights per week to 13 destinations in India

Qatar Airways Indi Go 340 flights per week 13 destinations India

It has been announced in a tweet by Qatar Airways on April 19, 2022 that strategic cooperation with India's largest airline IndiGo has been reactivated.

The reactivation has come in place post the lifting of travel restrictions between Qatar and India.

Currently, Qatar Airways is operating 190 flights per week back and forth from 12 destinations in India. The current operating cities include; Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Kochi, Kozhikode, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa, Kolkata, and Thiruvananthapuram. Commencing from April 25, 2022, Qatar Airways marketing code will be placed on IndiGo operated flights between Doha and Delhi and from May 9, 2022 in Chennai, Bengaluru, Kochi, Kozhikode flights.

Qatar Airways and IndiGo flights being centrally connected to Hamad International Airport in Doha allows for ease of connections to other networks such as North America, Europe, Africa, and Asia/Australia.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, H.E. Akbar Al Baker had stated:

"The reactivation of our strategic partnership with IndiGo is another milestone in the development of aviation between Qatar and India. Together, both Qatar Airways and IndiGo will offer over 340 flights per week to 13 destinations in India"

The strategic cooperation will also provide for added benefits to members of Qatar Airways' loyalty programme Privilege Club such as earning Avios on all code-share flights operated by IndiGo and Qatar Airways' baggage rules.
