In Partnership with Discover Qatar, Qatar Airways Holidays has announced the launch of the Luxury Coastal Cruise of Qatar, tailored-made for citizens and residents, providing guests memorable experience on board Le Champlain – a 5-star luxury explorer-class cruise ship - while enjoying exciting adventures around the country’s coastline

Qatar Airways Holidays and Discover Qatar in collaboration with PONANT - the world’s leader in luxury expedition cruising - designed a three-night four-day cruise that combines on-board 5-star services, elegant accommodation and fine-dining with unique coastal expedition activities.

Le Champlain – one of PONANT’s newest cruise ships – boasts innovative features, stylish design, and cutting-edge technology. This impressive ship offers 92 luxurious staterooms and suites, all with a private balcony and equipped with high-end amenities, 24-hour butler service for selected cabins, two five-star restaurants with a menu designed by world-renowned Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse, and a luxury spa offering a wide choice of top-of-the-range treatments. Customers will enjoy an infinity pool and a multisensory, futuristic underwater lounge with large observation windows below the waterline. A hydraulic platform will ease disembarking and embarking when guests participate in expeditions. The highly-trained crew on board the ship will ensure passengers’ safety and comfort.

Exploration and sightseeing adventures include snorkelling at Al Ashat island’s reefs, gliding through the Khor Al Udaid channel’s turquoise waters – one of only three places in the world where the sea meets the sand-dunes – and visiting scenic locations to observe local marine and wildlife. Guests will have opportunities to witness an array of remarkable creatures including dolphins, hammerhead sharks, flamingos, dugongs, and the Whale Sharks at the north-eastern Qatar coastal waters. A team of expert guides, including marine biologists, naturalists, and ornithologists, will lead all the expeditions.

Cruise season will start in late March 2021 and will run six consecutive departures. Early Bird offer start from QR 4,990 per person on all-inclusive basis. The offer ends 28 February and with limited cabins on only 6 sailings. Meals, transfers from the meeting point to Doha Port, free on-board Wi-Fi, and sightseeing and exploration activities are also included in the package.
