In line with its ongoing pledge of providing state-of-the-art solutions to its customers, Vodafone Qatar launched the ‘My Vodafone App’, a smartphone app for customers wishing to manage their line, view balance and usage, pay bills, recharge, and Chat with Vodafone Customer Care agents directly in the app. The new App provides everything the customer would need in the palm of their hand.
The launch was held at the W Doha in the presence of Vodafone’s senior Executive team and members of the press. Inaugurating the event, Ian Gray, Chief Executive Officer of Vodafone Qatar said: “We’re very proud to be launching My Vodafone App in Qatar which brings together an extensive track record of global research from across the Vodafone Group underlined with a wealth of local knowledge and insights to develop a new platform that will raise the bar of innovative yet simple customer self-care in the industry. My Vodafone App strongly demonstrates how Vodafone is here to give Power to You, our customers.”
Available on both iOS and Android, the ‘My Vodafone App’ will enable customers to manage their accounts, provide information and payment options on bills and balances, enable access to customer service, present tailor-made promotions, receive notifications, all through smartphones in a fast and speedy manner.
Delivering the Keynote, Mohamed Al-Sadah, Chief Operating Officer of Vodafone Qatar, said: “Banking on Vodafone Group’s international research footprint and our thorough understanding of what our local market needs and expects from one of the world’s most valuable telecom brands, we’re very proud to offer such a simple Customer Care experience which will truly empower every one of our customers to be confidently connected.”
“For us, innovation does not necessarily mean reinventing the wheel. It is actually more of an evolutionary process. We take what already exists and try to turn it into something better, easier and simpler. And this is exactly what we’ve attempted to do when we conceptualised and launched My Vodafone App.” Al-Sadah explained.

In Qatar, we have strongly changed the telecommunications landscape bringing better value, global expertise and customer service. And here we are today demonstrating this by launching yet another service that will take our customer experience to newer heights.” Al-Sadah continued.
“The launch of the new ‘My Vodafone App’ represents another step forward in providing the most convenient tools and solutions to our customers. And this is only the beginning; we will frequently adding new features and growing the functionality based on our customers’ feedback.” Al-Sadah concluded.
‘My Vodafone App’ will provide customers with information that includes available balance for credit, calls, data and SMS. Customers will also be able to recharge their credit and data balances through the new app.
Moreover, the new app introduces a new interaction feature, where customers are granted access to Vodafone Qatar’s customer care agents through a live chat feature. The 24/7 customer care tool provides more convenience than ever, as customers will no longer have to wait in queues at counters or be put on hold over the phone.
Information about active products and validity, payments, monthly bills, and credit and data bundles will also be available through ‘My Vodafone App.’ The app will also enable customers to retrieve and pay Vodafone mobile and fixed bills.
Through the new app, clients will be able to receive notifications on new bill payments, or when running low on credits. With ‘My Vodafone App,’ customers will not need to login every time they use the app, as credentials will be saved on the smartphone and the app will be able to identify the number using it.
The new app is available in English and Arabic for free to all Vodafone Qatar prepaid and post-paid customers.
