A World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) report named Doha second on the list of highest international traveller spend in 2022. The list has the top cities with the biggest international traveller spend (as opposed to the ‘contribution to GDP and employment’ calculation) in 2022.

As per CAPA, Doha was boosted by the World Cup. The WTTC report analysed 82 cities, and the key indicators included, direct T&T GDP contribution, employment, international & domestic visitor spending, leisure & business spending and also 10 year projections.
