Doha Metro & Lusail Tram announced in a tweet on 12 June 2022 the extension of its services till 1 am on 13 and 14 June 2022.

The extension comes in to accommodate those attending the FIFA World Cup 2022™ play-off match between Australia vs Peru on 13 June 2022 and Costa Rica vs New Zealand on June 14 2022; both happening at the Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium.
