DJWE organisers have announced that world-renowned clock-specialists Objectif Horlogerie will join DJWE this year, offering a unique, interactive workshop to attendees. In Qatar for the first time, Objectif Horlogerie will showcase the art of their master craftsmanship to watch connoisseurs, and give them the rare opportunity to become a “watchmaker-for-a-day.” Workshop attendees will observe and participate in the master watchmaker’s rituals, and at the end of the session, each participant will be awarded an accredited diploma.

Established in Paris, Objectif Horlogerie, brings its “First Time” workshop to Qatar, open to all levels. Under the expert guidance of the master crafstman, each apprentice will experience the indescribable emotion of mastering time. This introductory workshops reveals the secret life of a timepiece before it reaches the windows of the luxury stores… the parts that ensure a smooth mechanical movement and the time-honored handcrafting that is inherent to each piece.

These introductory workshops, which are just 1.5 hours long, present visitors with a fascinating insight to the precision and complexity of watchmaking. At the end of each session each participant leaves with a precious manual that summarizes the contents of the workshop, and a tutorial so they can continue to practice their new skills.
