The official Twitter account of Doha Metro & Lusail Tram announced a service update on 2 & 8 April 2022. As per the announcement, on 2 & 8 April, the Doha Metro services on the Red Line will be replaced with alternative services. This is due to an ongoing programme of essential system upgrades across the network.

Replacement buses will not stop at Al Wakra – Metrolink Buses are available from / to Ras Bu Fontas.
Replacement buses will operate every 5 minutes stopping at most stations between Ras Bu Fontas and Lusail QNB.#DohaMetro pic.twitter.com/veRepd7WyN
Metrolink buses will operate as normal. Replacement buses will not stop at Al Wakra or Katara metro stations. Replacement buses will run every 5 min between Ras Bu Fontas and Lusail QNB. A shuttle service will run every 15 min between HIA and Ras Bu Abboud.
