Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition

Cultural Village Foundation –Katara introduces the Second Edition of the International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail) to promote Qatar's rich Arab heritage by supporting falcon enthusiasts and the hobby of hunting. Dedicated to transforming the enriched Qatari culture of hunting into a global message, the event aims to actively engaged in attracting foreign participation from countries around the world to our local exhibition.

The Exhibition will held in the touristic hub and cultural destination of Qatar, the Cultural Village. It will include stores for selling falcons, hunting equipment, hunting guns, hunting vehicle outfitting and supplies for outdoor sports, and will feature advanced technology tools needed to serve the hobby of hunting. The Exhibition will display hunting-related ancient artifacts from a variety of countries around the world.

Katara's International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S'hail) aims to support various commercial, cultural, and outdoor sports activities related to hunting and falconry. Further, the exhibition aims to boost mutually beneficial relationships between traders and falcon owners both locally and internationally, and to explore products and services in this important youth sector.

The Amazing World of Gumball at Doha Festival City

Explore the exciting world of Cartoon Network’s “The Amazing World of Gumball” at Doha Festival City partnership and introduces the chance for children to enjoy an entire range of fun-filled activities with the main characters of the iconic show. It brings families and loved ones together, in celebration of the back to school season, from 1 September until 14 September.

Located at the Centre Court, First Floor, Gumball fans will be able to enjoy the unique activity zone, where children will be able to carousal around numerous activations which will include an interactive gaming station, a dodge ball game, blind folded games, photo opportunities with their favourite Gumball characters and an arts & crafts section.

Available from 2 PM to 9 PM for two weeks, Doha Festival City is the perfect destination to spend the last few weeks of summer. Families will also have the chance to dine in the numerous outlets available at the mall, whilst also obtaining their essentials for the new academic year.

Gumball Activity Zone
The activation will feature interactive PlayStation gaming sessions, Dodge Ball games where children can throw dodge balls through the character cut outs and score points to win. Children have a chance to be blindfolded and are asked to pin the remote to Richard Watterson, as well as pose with their favourite Gumball characters. There will also be an art and crafts session workshops made available.

Katara Art Studio: Workshops for children

As part of its rich educational programme, the Katara Art Studio continues to offer a number of technical workshops from September 1 to 15 aimed at enhancing artistic talents and creative abilities. The workshops from 3pm to 8pm will include the art of paper cutting and design, the art of the design of felt and gouache by Jaya Elizabeth Jacob, the art of painting the line brush (a course for beginners) offered by trainer Grace Castrodes, silk screen printing by coach Janithri Perera, and art drawing on the glass by coach Liji Abdullah. According to Katara, these workshops attract children between age 4 and over 11 years old. A workshop in Islamic decoration will also take place from September 8-10 (5pm to 8pm) under the supervision of artist Moza al-Kuwari. Katara Art Studio, through its various activities, aims to enhance the artists’ talents and technical skills by attracting different age groups and opening various opportunities for the participants.
