This is an exciting event to take part in! Qatar Museums Public Art Student Open Call invites students to propose a public artwork to be created with recycled materials to bring more awareness to Qatar Museum’s ‘no waste’ policy for a temporary installation to be displayed in public spaces. Up to five winning proposals will be chosen, and the selected students will be granted up to QR 25,000 to realize their concept by December 2021. For more information click here.

S’hail is a globally recognized platform from Qatar that is best known for Hunting & Falconry. Their aim is to preserve and promote the art of Hunting & Falconry. Mövenpick Hotel Doha has partnered with Qatar Red Crescent for an initiative called 'Kilo of Kindness' in honour of the United Nations International Day of Charity on 5th September 2021.
For the whole month of September (1-30 September 2021), a donation box is available at the hotel's lobby area where guests and visitors can donate items like clothing, non-perishable food items, educational supplies including stationery and books, toys etc which will then be distributed by the Qatar Red Crescent team at the end of the month to local communities in need. In celebration of the Qatar-USA Year of Culture, Qatar Museums is calling on artists to create digital artwork that brings the two cultures together. You can create a digital artwork that expresses and is inspired by 20th century American Pop Art and Pop artists, and their culture, while also using Qatari society and culture as an inspiration.
