Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp are not functioning properly since this afternoon. The common issues are unable to post or download photos on social media platforms.

According to DownDetector.com - an outage tracking website, US and Europe have the heaviest hit and Qatar also has a slight interruption.

Facebook and Instagram tweeted an hour ago that they are aware of the issues and will try to resolve quickly.

The apps had similar outages this year, one in March and another one in April. Many users are on Twitter right now trying to get an update and one user created "Instagram Down" account, posting memes about this situation.
