This is an easy one for me, as I'm a regular user of SteelSeries headsets. I knew how this headset was going to be and I was not surprised. You can ask any tech person to recommend gaming headsets and their list will definitely include the SteelSeries in it. They are one of the leading brands in this industry and these headsets reflect that.

But, even if you are not a gamer or a person who will be spending long hours on computers this still might be a good headset for you, let me explain in detail.

What's in the box?

The headset comes with a main 1.2m cable (to connect to laptops, Xbox, Playstation, Switch, mobile) and a dual 3.5mm cable (to connect to the desktop PC) along with a microphone pop filter.

Connectivity

Are you impressed with this gaming headset?

This is a wired headset so it can only connect to devices with a 3.5mm headset jack, but the list of supported devices is huge. It can support consoles like PlayStation, Xbox, PC/laptops, and even mobile phones.

You can simply plug the headset into your device and start using it. No setup is required.

Note: for PC you have to use the dual cable included in the box to use the mic.

Materials & construction

How cool is this?!

The body is made of mostly metal and hard plastic which feels sturdy and durable. The ear cushions are made of spongy pleather (plastic leather) and it sits comfortably on all types of ears and it remains cool even after long periods of usage.

The headset comes with an adjustable ski band to change the fit for your head and the articulating hinges help with perfectly fitting it to your head. The side of the headphones can be removed for further customization and they are magnetic! The headsets also have a retractable mic built-in for your gaming or discord needs.

Weight

Light, durable and sturdy!

Even though most of its body is made of metal, it is surprisingly lightweight and is under 350 grams in weight which is great. It sits really well and this makes it feel cozy on your head.

Buttons & controls

Convenience is given priority in the design.

The body of the headset has a few buttons and controls for quick settings under the left earpiece, it has a dedicated mute button for the inbuilt microphone and a sturdy volume rocker. Along with it is the headset jack which uses the special SteelSeries pin on the headset to output the audio.

There is also an audio output with a 3.5mm jack which can be used to connect your headsets to output devices.

Quality

High-quality headsets! Will you use these?

No matter how good a deal you're getting, if the audio quality is not good, you’re not going to buy the headsets.

So, unlike other bass boosted headsets which are overpriced and ones that people buy only because of their popularity, these headsets give you a clear audio output without losing the audio quality; whether you’re watching a movie or listening to music, the clear audio from the headsets will make you appreciate the audio even more.

And if you are a gamer, this is a perfect choice for all types of gameplay modes, without a doubt. The microphone quality is average. If you want good quality for streaming, then it's best to get a dedicated microphone.

This headset is no different. Whether you're a gamer or a normie, if you're looking for good headphones, I would recommend you to get these as they will definitely be worth your money.
