The Qatar IT Conference and Exhibition (QITCOM 2019) is a catalyst for the development of safe smart city solutions in Qatar and around the globe. Held under the theme ‘Safe Smart Cities’, QITCOM 2019 is scheduled to take place between 29th October and 1st November 2019 at the Qatar National Convention Center (QNCC).

QITCOM 2019 will welcome international delegations, local participants and exhibitors from around the world. The fifth edition is particularly significant because it will host Qatar’s first Smart City Expo Doha (SCED), in partnership with the organizers of Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), Fira de Barcelona. At the two-day conference, local and international speakers will address topics related to smart cities namely, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, artificial intelligence and urban planning.

Since its first edition, QITCOM has become Qatar's largest digital technology event bringing together decision makers, digital technology companies, IT industry professionals, global thought leaders and experts in order to build a better digital future for Qatar. It also plays an important role as a major platform linking startups with investors.

Showcasing smart technologies

Featuring over 100 speakers, 300 technology exhibitors, 100 startups and 300 innovators and entrepreneurs, Qatar IT Conference & Exhibition 2019 will be a one-stop-shop for participants to showcase disruptive smart technologies and exchange next-generation knowledge. Qatar IT Conference & Exhibition 2019 will connect the Smart Cities ecosystem at a national, regional and global level through an integrated approach.

Occupying up to 25,000-square-meter of space, QITCOM 2019 will enable participants to review the latest smart technology solutions and share knowledge. It also has a range of activities and events to support entrepreneurship and innovation in the Entrepreneurship Zone including five key platforms that combine diverse digital sectors: Startup Hub, CodeCamp, Make the Deal, IdeaCamp and Innovation Theatre.

B2B (Business-to-Business) Zone to feature over 300 companies

The B2B Zone will be a dedicated area for more than 300 global business owners to network and discuss innovative ideas. The B2B zone will be accessible via a special mobile application (QITCOM app) and dedicated zone facilitators to help arrange meetings.

The B2B Matchmaking Zone aims to bring together more than 500 companies, government agencies, small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs and technology providers with potential investors. B2B Matchmaking will act as a networking platform for upcoming and established businesses to connect with local and global investors. It is an opportunity for organizations to secure investments to set up new offices, partnerships, and sponsorships.

Since its inception, QITCOM has been responsible for bringing together consumers and global experts to understand, envision and build Qatar’s digital future. QITCOM 2019 aims to attract 30,000 visitors, sign a number of MoUs, enter strategic sponsorships and link up investors with opportunities available in the Qatari market. This year’s event will further contribute towards creating connections across the Smart Cities ecosystem at a national, regional and global level.

The event has attracted 28 local and international sponsors. The strategic sponsors for QITCOM 2019 are Qatar Free Zones Authority, Ooredoo and Qatar National Bank, while the Mwani Qatar, Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy (SC), Microsoft, Qatar Rail Corporation, Hamad International Airport (HIA), and Vodafone Qatar are the official sponsors. Qatar Airways is the sponsor of the Gala Dinner and the Qatar Digital Business Awards.
