Qatar has been ranked first in the Gulf region, and fifth in Mobile Global Average index with 59.90 Mbps, according to US Speedtest website, which is ranking mobile and fixed broadband speeds from around the world on a monthly basis.
Qatar was also ranked first in the Gulf region and 39th globally in the Fixed Global Average index for the month of April at a speed of 62.65 Mbps.
According to the website, the upload average speed in mobile internet in Qatar reached 16.6 Mbps, and in the fixed broadband internet the uploading speed has reached 32.20 Mbps.
Norway topped the Mobile Global Average index with 65.41 Mbps, followed by Canada with 64.42 Mbps and South Korea with 63.81 Mbps.
Singapore was ranked first in the Fixed Global Average index with 197.50 Mbps, followed by Hong Kong with 172.67 Mbps, and then South Korea with 144.76 Mbps. (QNA)
