Whatsappcalling

We've been hearing reports today that the ban on Whatsapp calling has finally been lifted. This is great news for the people residing in Qatar who have missed Whatsapp's Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) service and have had to find alternative ways to talk to friends and family around the world since after the blockade in 2017.

Other services that were affected by the ban included Facetime, Skype and Viber calling services. Whether the ban on calling through these apps has been restored is yet to be tested.

In the meantime, people in Qatar have expressed their joy on this news that Whatsapp calling has been restored on social media.

This is what Valine Fernandes had to say on the subject on Twitter
