Xavi Hernandez, world-renowned footballer and current player for Qatar's Al Sadd Football Club, recently joined forces with the team delivering the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar as he became an official ambassador for Generation Amazing, the flagship CSR program of the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC).

Xavi will be working with school and refugee children and inspiring them with his amazing football. He'll be visiting Jordan this week to work directly with kids and run training sessions with them in one of the refugee camps.

“I try to help as much as I can and have done so in all my life, both in Spain through my academy for youngsters and now here in Qatar. For that reason joining the Generation Amazing programme, and helping children, migrant workers, refugees and the people who most need it is a real privilege for me,” Xavi said to representatives from sc.qa.

The former F.C. Barcelona star will meet Generation Amazing ambassadors and attend the opening match of the tournament between Jordan and Spain on Friday, 30 September.
