Two Qatar champions to compete in Audi quattro Cup World Final in Mexico

Q-Auto, the official dealer for Audi in Qatar, announces Ken Hauser and Greg Meszaros with a total of 45 points, as the champions of the Audi quattro Cup 2015 - Doha golf tournament. The two won on a count back after tying with three teams during the competition. The sporting event saw the participation of 144 amateur golfers from across the country, with first place winners qualified to represent Qatar in the Audi quattro Cup World Final to be held in Mexico at the end of the year.

Audi Qatar hosted the event at Doha’s premier golf course, the Doha Golf Club. As part of the tournament, competitors took part in one of two shotgun rounds where they demonstrated some of their best professional golf skills. The event concluded with a special ceremony where the names of finalists were announced. Runner-ups included Chul Jin Hwang and Olsen Fernandes with Paul Kelly and Siegfried Sariowan coming close behind in third place. Moreover, a number of sports goods were also awarded for highest achievements in the tournament for the nearest pin and the longest drives in both the male and female category.

Aside from the tournament itself, a number of admiring onlookers enjoyed the Audi model showcase on the course. Vehicles on display included the recently unveiled, all new Audi TT as well as the Audi A7, A6, RS7, A8, A5, S3 and the stunning R8 coupe.

Commenting on the golf tournament, Marketing Manager at Audi Qatar, Anthony Kwan said, "Audi is extremely thrilled to have hosted the golf tournament in Doha. It was a delight watching competitors from all nationalities gather together for a thrilling and premium sporting experience. The Audi quattro tournament is a long standing testament to our commitment to support sports and physical activities in Qatar. This initiative aligns with the Human Development pillar of the Qatar 2030 National Vision to foster participation in sports activities. We thank each of the players for their participation, and we wish the winners good luck at the Audi quattro Cup World Final."

It is the largest amateur golf tournament series in the world and Audi dealers from 53 different countries have organized more than 800 tournaments worldwide with over 100,000 participating amateur golfers.
