1. Qatar ALS Ice Bucket Challenge
We're taking the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge to the next level and organising a mass ice-bucket drenching with the aim of getting at least 100 people to all do it at once. We have to move quick or we'll miss the boat, so we're going to do this on FRIDAY MORNING AT 8AM. We're having it at the St Regis on the Beach. You have to enter via the Hakkasan entrance on the left side of the hotel.
2. Summer Festival Sunset Kayaking in Al Thakira Nature
Come out, beat the heat and learn about one of Qatar's unique tidal mangrove forest. Spend an afternoon kayaking in Al Thakira nature reserve and see this wonderous forest in Qatar first hand!
Children and families are invited to join in the day’s celebrations in support of Cat Assistance Team rescue and TNR fund! A great way to bring all of the community together in support of the local cat charity, raising funds to improve the welfare and lives of our feline friends. The day promises plenty of fun, games and prizes for children featuring: • Face painting • Henna tattoos • Teddy bear’s picnic • Caricature artists • Cooking club-decorate cupcakes and cookies and many more!
The Childhood Cultural Centre (CCC) launched its summer programme for children. The activities of the programme, supervised by specialists in child education, will include art workshops. The participating children will be taken on a tour of Aspire Academy and Hamad International Airport, among other places.
