Team Qatar continues to win medals in the 27th edition of GCC Aquatics Championships 2019 which got underway in Kuwait on Thursday and ends on Sunday.
Waleed Rafiq won the gold medal in 50 metres breaststroke for the public category, while Nasser Al Nuaimi won bronze in the 50 metres backstroke for the category of 10 years. Abdullah Mohammed achieved bronze in 50 metres butterfly for the same category.
The Qatari swimming squad won two gold medals in the morning races, when Abdulrahman Mohammed won gold in 800 meters freestyle, Abdulaziz Al Obaidli received gold medal in 200 meters individual public race, and won bronze in 50 metres back.
Qatar team held their international training camp from 12-30 August in Romania in preparation for the GCC Aquatics Championships 2019.
