The Qatar Olympic Committee announced in a tweet on 6 August 2022, that Qatari shooters had won a gold medal at the 10th Asian Shooting Championships in Kazakhstan.

The winning shooters were Rashid Al-Athba, Masoud Al-Athba and Abdulaziz Al-Atteh who won the gold for the men's team skeet.
Qatar's national women's team also experienced victory as they won the bronze medal for the team skeet event.
