Team qatar wins 12 medals at 5th islamic solidarity games

The Qatar Olympic Committee announced the conclusion of the 5th Islamic Solidarity Games on 18 August 2022 with Team Qatar bringing home a total of 12 medals. The tournament concluded in Konya, Turkey, with the participation of 54 countries representing four continents.

Team Qatar ranked 13th place in overall standings with a total of 12 medals, including 4 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze.

MEDALS WON:

Gold:

  • High Jump - Hamady Ali
  • Handball Team - Abdulrahman Tarek Al Abdullah, Mohamed Mahmoud Abdelmajid, Nour Ahmed, Hamdi Ayed, Zineeooine Boumendjel, Faruk Colo, Amir Denguir, Ahmed Elmeniawy, Amine Guehis, Moustafa Heiba, Salem Jedaied, Hani Kakhi, Rayan Laribi, Ahmed Saleh, Mohamed Soussi, Rasheed Yusuff, Ameen Zakkar, Anis Zouaoui

The competitions started on 5 August 2022, but the official opening ceremony took place on 9 August 2022. Qatar's delegation included 112 male and female athletes in 14 team and individual games.
