Qatar will host a public exhibition at JK Iguatemi mall in Sao Paulo, Brazil, from 14-24 June to highlight the country's preparations for the FIFA World Cup.

The Journey to 2022 exhibition will be held on the 3rd floor of the mall, which is located in the Vila Olimpia district of Sao Paulo. It will feature FIFA World Cup memorabilia, crowdsourced photographs which highlight football culture in Qatar, models of the eight Qatar 2022 stadiums and details about Qatar's Asian Cup victory. Much of the memorabilia is the property of Qatari collector Mohammed Abdullatif and includes match-worn shirts, footballs, tickets and more.

Around 30 Brazil-based volunteers will support the delivery of the exhibition after signing up to support Qatar 2022-related events. The exhibition has been organized to coincide with Qatar's debut in the Copa America. The reigning Asian champions have been invited to take part in the tournament along with Japan. Qatar has been drawn in Group B alongside Argentina, Colombia and Paraguay. Their campaign gets underway when they face Paraguay in Rio on 16 June.

In addition to the exhibition, Qatar is sending a delegation of ten people to shadow the 2019 Copa America Local Organizing Committee. The delegation includes employees from the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), Qatar Football Association, Qatar Stars League and the Josoor Institute. The delegation will be based in Rio, Morumbi and Corinthians.

The SC, the organization responsible for delivering the infrastructure required for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, is running the exhibition, which will be open every day from 10 AM to 10 PM. Nasser Al Khater, FIFA World Cup Qatar LLC Chief Executive Officer, said Qatar's participation in the Copa America provided the perfect opportunity to engage with fans from across Latin America.

"We know that passion for football runs deep across South America and we are confident that thousands of fans from the region will travel to Qatar to enjoy the next installment of the FIFA World Cup," said Al Khater.

"The exhibition at JK Iguatemi mall is an opportunity to share details of our preparations and give people a flavor of what they can expect in just over three years time. We hope that people will enjoy the activation and take the opportunity to find out more about the first World Cup in the Arab world and only the second in Asia."

Al Khater said hosting the World Cup was an opportunity for Qatar to build bridges between East and West and break down cultural stereotypes.

"For billions of people, 2022 will be the first time they engage with the Arab world. For us, its a golden opportunity to shape peoples perceptions about our country and region. Football will bring us all together."
