Qatar Olympic Committee announced in a series of tweets on 2 October 2022 that H.E. Sheikh Joaan has been appointed as a member of the IOC’s Olympism 365 Commission and H.E. Sheikha Hind has been appointed as a member of the IOC’s Olympic Education Commission.

H.E. Sheikh Joaan also holds the position of Qatar Olympic Committee President.

H.E. Sheikha Hind is Qatar Foundation's Vice-Chairperson and CEO.

H.E. Jassim Rashid Al-Buenain who is the Qatar Olympic Committee Secretary General has also been appointed as a member of one of the commissions; the IOC’s Olympic Programme Commission.
