President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) His Excellency (H.E.) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al-Thani has been named the 'Arab Sports Personality' at the 11th edition of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Creative Sports Award for his long list of prolific sports-related achievements. Ever since H.E. Sheikh Joann took over as President of the QOC in 2015, Qatari athletes have enjoyed tremendous success on the international sports stage and even won two gold medals and a bronze at the 2020 Tokyo Games — Qatar’s best-ever performance in Olympic history.
