President of Qatar Women's Sports Committee (QWSC) Lolwa Hussein Al Marri praised productive and constant cooperation between the QWSC and Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) in all sports and social programmes and events for ladies.
In a statement today, Al Marri said that this cooperation continues through the Ramadan Sports Festival organised by QWSC in cooperation with AZF during the holy month of Ramadan. The festival includes two competitions in handball which started Wednesday and in basketball which will be held next week. The QWSC is also organising Yoga sessions for both AZF and QWSC female employees in the Ladies Sports Hall at Aspire Zone, she added.
Al Marri added that the QWSC organises the activities of the Ramadan Festival with handball and basketball competitions for ladies in the belief of the importance of practising sport, adding that QWSC will be responsible for the technical aspects of the competitions that will take place in the Ladies Sports Hall at Aspire Zone.
She stressed that the QWSC is keen to organise the Ramadan Sports Festival every year to highlight the importance of physical exercise in this holy month. (QNA)
