Qatar Stars League (QSL) held Monday a number of meetings with clubs to discuss the most important precautions and action plan for the second phase of general protocol adopted by the Ministry of Public Health, as part of preparations ahead of the completion of 2019-20 season QNB Stars League.
Executive Director of Competition and Football Development at the QSL Ahmed Khellil Abbassi held a meeting with coaches of Al Shahaniya, Al Sailiya, Umm Salal and Al Ahli clubs at the Kempinski Hotel in The Pearl, where they are staying. Meetings with other coaches will be held at a later time.
The second phase takes place from June 25 to July 23, and will see players and coaching staff take COVID-19 tests starting today. People who test positive for the virus will have to follow the Ministry of public Health's measures. The meeting stressed on the importance of adhering to the precautionary measures that include wearing masks at all times except during training, and social distancing among other measures.
Players and staff will be allowed to quarantine at home
during the second phase, on the condition that they commit legally to
home quarantine and its conditions. Clubs can also to choose to continue
to stay at their current place of residence. Players and staff who
violate the conditions will not be allowed to take part in training or
matches. Teams who choose to stay at their current place of residence
will be transferred via bus, with a maximum capacity of 30 percent
allowed.
