QFA Announces Fans Activities in Qatar vs. Turkey International Friendly

The final preparations for Qatar vs. Turkey International Friendly Match are taking place as the football governing body in Qatar; the Qatar Football Association (QFA) announces the events and activities that are accompanying the thrilling match. The match is set for kick off on Friday, 13th November at 8:30pm and will be played in Lekhwiya Stadium.

To enhance the overall fan experience, QFA announced that a fanzone will be setup outside of the stadium and will open its doors to the public at 4:30pm.

Open to the general public with free admissions, the fun-filled fanzone will take place outside gate 3. Anticipating over 2000 fans to attend the fanzone, QFA is announcing that the match’s fanzone has something for fans of all ages to enjoy.

The fanzone will feature traditional authentic Turkish food, Turkish folklore performances, and Turkish made products and artifacts. Football related games and activities which the fans can enjoy before the match will also be setup.

A market will also be setup and will consist of a “Bazaar” type atmosphere where fans can buy handmade products and get a taste of the traditional food of Turkey.

Organising this activity-packed fanzone serves as an ideal opportunity to make the match day an even better day out for the whole family, QFA said. QFA added that organising a match against Turkey promotes both countries’ traditional cultures through organising different cultural activities that accompany the match.

During match half time, fans will have the opportunity to witness one of a kind Turkish military performance and it will consist of 16 dancers performing to traditional Turkish music.

The QFA has announced that there has been high demand for online tickets, and is anticipating to continue selling heavily until match day. Tickets can be bought through QFA’s website on www.qfa.qa

Ticket booths will start selling at the stadium on match day at 4:30pm where regular tickets are available from gates 2, 3, and 4, while VIP tickets are will be sold from gates 1 and 5.

Regular ticket holders can go though gates 2, 3, and 4 to watch the match while VIP’s can go through gates 1 and 5. To improve the fans experience, QFA advises all the fans to arrive early to the stadium and park in the fans’ designated parking due to the roadwork that surround the stadium which could result in heavy traffic.

The Qatar vs. Turkey match marks the Qatar Turkey 2015 Year of Culture and aims to showcase the rich and lively Turkish culture to the fans attending the match on Friday.

As part of the ongoing preparation of the Qatar National Team ahead of the Russia 2018, UAE 2019 joint qualifiers, the team started its training sessions after round 8 of Qatar Stars League, and the match against Turkey acts as additional preparation ahead of their away match against Bhutan on 17th November.

A pre match press conference which discusses the readiness of both teams will be arranged for Jose Carreno, the Head Coach of Qatar National Team on Thursday at 4pm in Grand Heritage Hotel, while the second press conference for Turkey’s Head Coach Fatih Terim will take place at 7pm in Lekhwiya Stadium.

The Turkish team will play its second friendly for the month against Greece on the 17th.
