Miami State had hosted The CMAS Finswimming World Cup quarters from the 1st of October till the 3rd of October. Competing on behalf of Qatar, Elite Swim Academy’s club showcased an extraordinary performance which led them to be awarded the second-best competing club in the competition.
Abdelrahman Ghanem achieved 3 gold medals for Qatar for the categories 50m, 100m, and 200m BFins and 1 silver medal for 200m SF, while Mahmoud Ramadan achieved 1 gold medal for 800m SF and 1 bronze for 100m SF. In addition to being the youngest athlete competing, Elite Club’s Belal Ghanem achieved 1 silver medal for the 400m SF category.
The competition had international teams across 8 countries around the world including the USA, Qatar, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Czech, Ecuador, and Egypt.
The Qatari team is now qualified for the Finswimming World Cup Finals Egypt 2021 that will be held in Sharm Al-Sheikh from the 3rd till the 8th of November.
