Qatari gymnast Duha Al Habashi qualifies for World Artistic Gymnastics Championships

Duha Al Habashi, gymnast of the Qatari national team, qualified for the final (women's jumping horse) within the competitions of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup for men and women Qatar 2021 in its 13th edition and qualifies for the upcoming Tokyo Olympics, which started yesterday, June 23, in the covered hall in Aspire and continues until next Saturday.

On the first day, the qualifying round was held, with the participation of about 200 male and female players representing 27 countries. Only the best 8 players on each device will qualify from these qualifiers. The finals will be held on Friday and Saturday, June 25 to 26.

Qatar participates in the tournament at the level of players and at the level of arbitration as well, where the player Ahmed Al-Diyani participates in the competitions on the pommel horse device and the player Duha Al-Habashi on the jumping horse device. Abeer Al-Buainain participates as an international referee, and she is also the director of the tournament and the Secretary-General of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation, Mahmoud Al-Saadi will also participate as an international referee.

President of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation, Ali Al-Hitmi, said in a statement after the end of today's competitions that the players showed great competition on the different equipment and showed strong levels on the first day, which indicates the continuation of the excitement in the rest of the championship days.

The President of the Qatar Gymnastics Federation confirmed that the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup witnesses the participation of famous athletes, and it always comes at the forefront of the rest of the tours that are held in other cities of the world throughout the year.
