The Qatari wrestling team left today to participate in the 2019 World Wrestling Championships held in Kazakhstan from September 14 to 22. The competitors are seeking to win medals as well as ensure qualification for the 2020 Summer Tokyo Olympics.

The Qatari team will participate with two players, Abdul Rahman Ibrahim, (70 kg) in freestyle wrestling and Bader Bakhit Sharif, (77 kg) in Greco-Roman wrestling.
The President of the Qatar Boxing and Wrestling Federation (QBWF) Yousuf Ali Al Kazim confirmed that the Qatari team is ready to compete in the tournament, and the players are seeking to win medals and qualify for the 2020 Summer Tokyo Olympics.
