The inaugural edition of the GCC girls handball championship will begin on April 22.
The championship will conclude on April 28. The event is organised by the Qatar Women’s Sport Committee (QWSC) in coordination with the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) and the Qatar Handball Association.
Besides hosts Qatar, Bahrain and UAE are taking part in the championship.
Meanwhile, the fourth chapter of the Advanced Sport Management Course (ASMC) organised by the Qatar Olympic Academy (QOA) under the supervision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) y concluded at the QOA headquarters.
The course brought together 33 trainees (male and female) representing all the sport organisations in Qatar, beside students from Qatar University along with trainees from the GCC nations.
During the three-day course, the course key lecturer Dr. Nicolas Scelles, a PhD holder in the sport economy gave a comprehensive presentation on number of vital topics related to the sport organisation management, including financial management, financial planning and the budget.
Dr Ali Al Bekeri, the QOA Assistant Dean for Academic and student affairs confirmed that the trainees have positively benefited from the topics after they jointly discussed them with the lecturer. (Source)
