In a Tweet, Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced that the Disciplinary Committee, in its meeting, decided to impose sanctions on Qatar Sports Club player Ali Mahmoud Al-Absi in the Under-19 Refresher Championship competition.

QFA clarified that the penalties are the suspension of the mentioned player for three matches and a fine of QR 2,000. QFA also indicated that the reason for the penalties is obscene words, based on Article No. (47/2/8) of the Disciplinary Regulations.
