Qatar Motor Show 2015 continues to entice car enthusiasts

Held under the patronage of H.E Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior of the State of Qatar, Qatar Motor Show 2015 continues to captivate car lovers on its third day after the official opening on February 5.

The exhibition will last until February 10, and is open to public from 4pm to 10pm.

Hosted by Qatar Tourism Authority (QTA), and co-organised by the q.media Events and Fira de Barcelona in Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), the show brings together some of the most prominent international carmakers showcasing their latest models, technology and auto trends.

In this year’s edition of the show, organisers have enhanced the registration system by introducing an online registration option. The procedure is quite simple and convenient as visitors can avoid queues to enrol themselves. Although for personal assistance, they do have an onsite registration at the venue. Transportation facilities are also provided to take the visitors from the parking area to the exhibition hall.

Apart from premier launches, people are throughout entertained with the auto-related activities carried out by the exhibitors on all days. Various interactive games and exciting contests are conducted on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram where participants can bag some attractive prizes like digital cameras and goodie bags. Besides, viewers are regularly updated on the latest happenings during the day in the form of columns, pictures and interesting videos posted in the official Facebook page of Qatar Motor Show 2015.

At the venue, Japanese automotive manufacturer, Toyota is giving away a PS4 everyday to the highest scorer of a video game installed at their booth. Besides, visitors were fascinated by the simulator at the Alfardan Motorcycles and a test drive offered by German manufacturer Mercedes in their Salwa road showroom.

Alfardan Automobiles hosted Middle East debut of the all-new BMW X6M and X5M, two Regional Jaguar Land Rover- Jaguar XE and Range Rover Sport SVR, the all-new MINI John Cooper Works Hatch which is the most powerful MINI yet with 231 horsepower at the Qatar Motor Show 2015. In addition, Alfardan Motorcycles launched 2015’s latest motorcycle models at the stand which included the New Ducati Scrambler, the new Triumph Street Triple LSX and Triumph Tiger 800 XRx.

Mawater, an initiative of the Ministry of Youth & Sport of Qatar that attracts great events and activities in respect of motors, enthralled visitors with a line-up of Muscle cars with powerful engines designed for high-performance driving. It included Nissan GTR, BMW M Power, Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette.

The show has attracted quite a huge number of car enthusiasts with premiere launches by world-class automotive giants. With each passing day, there have been many surprises for visitors alongside a plethora of fun activities. Yet, this high-octane affair has many more surprises for the remaining days.

The Qatar Motor Show has been extensively contributing to the national economy of Qatar and has aided in boosting the image of Qatar as a global hotspot for world-class events.
