Qatar's beach volleyball team, Cherif Younis and Ahmed Tijan qualified for the second round of Espinho four-star stop on the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, which is currently held on the beaches of the Portuguese city of Espinho, with the participation of 50 teams representing 26 countries.
In the second round of the tournament the Qatari team will take on Canadian duo Pedlow and Schachter.
Qatar Qualified for the second round after ranking second in Group F with three points, through winning their first match on Saturday 2-0 against Italy's Andreatta and Abbiati, and losing the second match 2-0 to Spain's Pablo Herrera Allepuz and Adrian Gavira Collado.
Spain top the Group F with 4 points, while Italy came third with three points, like Qatar who came second with the score difference. Australia finished round 1 with two points.
