Qatar Olympic team defeated Bahrain opponents 4-2 in penalty shootout at Toulon International Football Tournament on Tuesday.
Tuesday's victory braced Qatar team to claim the 11 place overall after losing the three matches of the first round of the second group, including Brazil, France and Guatemala, while the first group included Argentina, Chile, Japan and Portugal, and the third group Mexico, Ireland, China and Bahrain.
The Qatari Olympic team lost their first match against France 2-0, and lost against Guatemala 2-0, and then lost to Brazil 5-0.
The tournament is a great opportunity to prepare Qatar Olympic team for the upcoming AFC U-23 World Cup in Thailand, scheduled next January, and qualifying for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.
