The Asian Football Confederation announced that it has chosen the State of Qatar to host its seventh medical conference, scheduled for the period from 2 - 6 March 2023.
The Federation stated, in a statement on its official website, that the medical conference will bear the slogan "Football and Sports Medicine - Celebrating Diversity", and more than 100 international experts in sports medicine and specialized sciences, representing the Asian Football Confederation, the International Football Association and the European Football Association, will participate in its activities.
He said that among the lecturers Dr. Gurcharan Singh, Chairman of the Medical Committee of the Asian Football Confederation will be at the conference. He is considered an expert in sports medicine and anti-doping programmes, in addition to his expertise in more than 150 sports-related topics.
Other experts and senior speakers will be present, noting that the Organizing Committee of the 7th AFC Medical Conference Qatar 2022 has opened the door for participants to contribute to the scientific program through the submission of abstracts or the free paper sessions.
The AFC Medical Conference was held for the first time in 1995, and it has achieved great development, becoming one of the most important scientific and medical events in Asia, where the 2019 edition in Chengdu, China, witnessed the attendance of more than a thousand participants
