Some team firsts, first women referees, record-breaking attendees and more made the AFC Asian Cup Qatar 2023™ one of the most memorable tournaments!

Qatar ranks 37th in the latest FIFA rankings, with two other teams recording best-ever rankings.

Abdulrahman Al-Jassim and Salman Falahi were named in the preliminary referee list of the FIFA World Cup 2026 happening from 11 June - 19 July 2026.

230 sporting events and activities were organized at Al Bidda Park in celebration of Qatar National Sport Day.

As part of the closing festivities, participants engaged in various activities at the Education City Golf Club, such as boot camps and team aerobics.

This year, 250 events are being held in public parks and sports facilities, distributed throughout the country.

Children aged 6-15 were selected for various roles in the tournament after a rigorous recruitment process.

Scheduled from 13-16 February 2024, the event will run daily from 10 am to 8 pm.

Tuesday, 13 February 2024, will be an official holiday.

The final match of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 score was at full-time 3-1 with Qatar's win.
