The Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced the 2020/2021 football league season will start on September 3.
QFA stressed the resumption of the 2019/2020 season at the date scheduled for it, without any postponements according to precaution procedures and the adopted protocol.
In a statement, QFA said that the first three rounds of the league competition games next season will be played on non-air-conditioned stadiums, due to the request of the QFA to host the AFC Champions League matches, which requires the stadiums to be equipped.
It added that the 2020/2021 second-tier league competitions will start in mid-September and that the Qatar Gas League competition will start in October.
QFA affirmed that the competition for the first and second-tier leagues will be completed even if there are COVID-19 infections among the players, as the clubs and players have signed pledges to complete the two competitions.
