The Qatar Olympic Committee announced in a tweet on 11 August 2022 that Mutaz Barshim won first place at the Monaco Diamond League.

He cleared a winning height of 2.30 metres on the night of 10 August 2022.

Mutaz defeated South Korean Woo Sanghyeok who could not go beyond 2.25 metres.
