Barshim qualified for the final at the top of the participants in the competition after he surpassed the qualification heights from the first attempt (2.17m, 2.25m and 2.28m), along with the South Korean Sanghyuk Woo, Canadian Django Lovett, and Ukrainian Andrey Protsenko, who were with him in the first group qualifiers.
Meanwhile, Italian Gian Marco Tampere struggled to secure his qualification, until he settled it by securing a place among the 12 qualified qualifiers in the first and second group qualifiers.
Barshim is looking forward to the third consecutive gold medal at the World Championships in Athletics, after winning gold in the 2017 editions in London and 2019 in Doha.
