The first day of the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019, which begins today, will witness the preliminaries races competitions for men and women and ends with the first final of the tournament, the women's night marathon and will be at 11:59 pm Doha time. Corniche road will be closed during the marathons.
The men's competitions, long jump and triple jump competitions and the 100m, 5000m and 400m hurdles competitions will be scheduled the same day.
For women's competitions, the competitions Hammer throw, Pole Vault and high jump and the 800 m and 3000 m steeplechase are also scheduled.
The world champions will compete in 49 races and competitions at Khalifa International Stadium and on Doha Corniche during the tournament, which runs until October 6.
