In efforts to celebrate Ramadan and foster social bonds, Huawei, a leading global ICT solutions provider, sponsored season four of the Qatar Railways Company’s Football League – The Qatar Rail Football League (QRFL). Huawei has been honored by the league committee in the awards ceremony held on June 24 for being the main sponsor of the internal event, and providing support to the social initiative.

Taking place during the Holy month of Ramadan, the 16 day event is part of an internal initiative to enhance cooperation among its employees and encourage them to have a good time together. Following the 2016 edition’s massive success, Huawei announced that it will also be partaking in next season’s league, taking place during Ramadan 2017.

Driven by a desire to build a better connected world, Huawei has set up its presence in the region over 15 years ago and today has an established, end-to-end ICT solutions portfolio that gives its customers competitive advantages in telecom and enterprise networks, devices and cloud-computing. The company believes that the key to opening up a new digital industrial era in the Middle East will require delivering on three value propositions: ubiquitous broadband, agile innovation, and creating more inspired experiences.

Today, the Middle East region is one of the fastest growing markets for Huawei worldwide, with a unique “Cloud-Pipe-Device” strategy to innovate across the ICT value chain. The company is considered to be by and large, a leading pioneer within Qatar’s technology sector, providing the most comprehensive IT portfolio in the industry to customers in the telecom, enterprise and consumer space. Huawei’s unparalleled value comes from a leading range of tailored products, solutions and consulting services spanning across its three main business groups—Carrier, Enterprise and Consumer.
