The website dedicated to booking tickets for the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019, which will be hosted by the Qatari capital Doha during the period from 11 to 21 December, has witnessed a huge demand. The number of tickets booked in the first 24 hours of the initial ticket sales phase reached 24,211 thousand.
Residents in Qatar, and fans from the UK, recorded the highest turnout (60 and 16, respectively), followed by fans from other countries in Europe, South America, and the Middle East.
The turnout was more focused on the final scheduled on December 21, with all the 10,085 tickets available at this stage sold out.
Tickets are affordably priced in three categories, starting at QR 25 for Category 3 tickets up to QR 400 for a Category 1 ticket for the 3rd-place and final matches (a full overview is available here).
Fans purchasing a single ticket for double-header match days will be able to attend both games at the stadium. Re-entry will not be allowed.
Ticket holders will be able to download and print tickets purchased from FIFA.com/tickets at home. The matches will be played from December 11 to 21, 2019 at three stadiums in Qatar.
