The activities of the annual festival for purebred Arabian camel racing on the sword of H.H. the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani for the 2023 season will start on Saturday, 23 January 2023, at Al Shahaniya and Lebseer race tracks amid wide participation from GCC states.
Organized by the Organizing Committee for the Camel Race over a period of seven days, the organizing committee raised the cash awards value for the festival's rounds from all age groups to unprecedented numbers, the cash awards have been standardized for all rounds.
In addition, the organizing committee has been keen to hold the heritage camel races within the major festivals to preserve the heritage sport, as the festival will be witnessing the stage of two rounds this year for age groups from (18-45 years old) for the human riders.
