The Qatari national football team reached the quarter-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021, after beating its Omani counterpart 2-1, in the second round of Group A.
Qatar's two goals were scored by Akram Afif from a penalty kick in the 31st minute, and Fahmi Said Durbein scored an own goal in the 97th minute, while Oman's only goal was scored by Khaled Al Hajri in the 74th minute.
The victory took Qatar's points tally to six points from two wins to top the group.
Qatar defeated Bahrain 1-0 in their opening match.
