After the inaugural 6 Hours of Qatar, the championship race will continue at least until 2029.
The 6-hour endurance season-opener will take place at the Lusail International Circuit.
It was also mentioned that the circuit is currently being renovated and remodelled extensively.
The WEC’s official pre-season test, which is also known as The Prologue, will take place in Qatar before the 6-hour endurance race.
The 6 Hours of Qatar will be momentous as, for the first time, hypercars such as the Ferrari 499P, the Peugeot 9x8, the Porsche 963 and Toyota’s GR010 HYBRID Hypercar will be seen together.
The World Endurance Championship was incepted in the year 2012, and Qatar will be marked as the 13th country in which the championship has taken place.
