Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) Chairman Issa bin Mohammed Al Mohannadi said Saturday that H.H. the Amir's Sword Festival is the highlight of Qatari equestrian, stressing that the attendance of H.H. the Amir and crowning of the winner acted as a great motivation to everyone working on the event to keep giving their best.
He expressed delight that the festival saw large international participation, adding that the Qatari horses' win reflects their ability to compete internationally. He thanked all of the club's workers for their efforts in ensuring the success of the festival, citing the praise of participants from outside Qatar as testament to the work done. He also thanked the sponsors of the festival, praising the strong attendance by the fans which exceeded expectations. He congratulated the winners, particularly HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani after his horse Ebraz won the Golden Sword for the third time.
Director of Al Shahaniya Stud Abdulrahman Al Mansour expressed his delight with the Golden Sword win, congratulating owner of the stud HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani for the win. He added that Ebraz showed once again why it was a special horse after winning the title for the third time.
