Egypt qualified for the quarter-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021 following a 5-0 victory over Sudan in the second round of Group B on Saturday at Stadium 974.
The Egyptians controlled the game since the early beginning, where Ahmed Refaat scored within four minutes in the game.
Zizo added the second goal for Egypt from the penalty spot in the 13th minute. Mahmoud Hamdy netted the third goal for his side in the 31st minute. In the second half, Hussein Faisal scored Egypt's fourth goal in the 57th minute. Mohamed Sherif netted the fifth goal for Egypt in the 78th minute.
Egypt raised their tally to six points to secure their spot in the quarter-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021.
Earlier, Algeria defeated Lebanon 2-0 in Group B to advance to the quarter-finals of the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021.
