Doha is all set to host an international football tournament - the Qatar Airways International Cup - made up of four teams, each of which has been ranked within the Top 12 in the world. These teams include World number one football team Belgium, 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia runners-up Croatia, current Euro champions Portugal (ranked 7th) and Switzerland (ranked 12th). All four teams are also taking part in Euro 2020 in the summer. All four teams are getting ready for the Euro 2020 that will be taking place in mid June this year, according to Croatia Week.
The matches will take place from 26 March to 30 March 2020 with Croatia and Switzerland pitted against each other in the first match on 26 March (7:30 pm Qatar standard time). This will be followed by a match between Belgium and Portugal on the 27 March. On 30 March, Croatia will take on Portugal.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be chasing his 100th international goal for Portugal along with young star Joao Felix. Other football stars like Real Madrid players Eden Hazard (Bel), Luka Modric (Cro), Thibaut Courtois (Bel) and Manchester City’s star mid-fielder Kevin De Bruyne (Bel) are likely to be part of the line up for their respective countries. The Belgiumfootball team also boasts of top striker Romele Lukaku. The rest of the players will be known as the time comes nearer, according to First Post.
