Qatar Football Association (QFA) has officially announced the absence of the Qatar national team defender Bassam Al-Rawi from the rest of Al Annabi's matches in the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup, due to a fracture in his right leg during the match with Iraqi team in the opening of the championship this evening, which finished with Iraq victory over Qatar 2-1 at Khalifa International Stadium.
QFA said in a statement posted on its official websites that Al-Rawi will be away from the rest of the national team matches in the Gulf championship, noting that he suffered a broken leg and needs surgical treatment.
Al Rawi injured in a dangerous play with the Iraqi national team player, and was replaced by Salem Al-Hajri.
